Please write back and tell me what you think. Thanks for reading. Don Wrote: Dear Walter: Thanks for your response. As you will see when you read our book, The Clock of the Ages, it is our understanding that the beast will not be revealed until after the Church is taken up to be with the Lord Jesus (Especially read booklets 4 and 9). As to the antichrist, the shadowy religious personage who will also fill his role in the latter days, again, I find no Scripture explaining who he will be or exactly when he will come to the fore. We need to remember as we read the prophetic portions of the Bible, that prophecy was not given so that the merely curious might satisfy his or her wonderings. [Particularly, it was not written so that con men (and women) could fleece the Lord's sheep with their hawking and their cry that "the sky is falling."] Rather, it was written for the Church so that she might fill her role in the last days. To help the Church do this, the prophetic portions have been designed to build faith by showing:
All of this builds our personal faith in that in His prophetic Word, we see
God Walter, as to what I think about prophecy, I think that there is a lot of confusion about most anything that has to do with the Bible. And if I were to have to venture a guess as to why there is so much confusion about the Word of God in general and the prophetic Word in particular, it would be that humanity is a very opinionated species. Regarding the Bible, these opinions are usually based upon other people's opinions rather than upon a personal, sincere search of the Scriptures. This being the case, many opinions are so far removed from the Scriptures that they bear little resemblance to what is actually written. [Also, even when we take time to read the Bible for ourselves, if we're not careful, we'll find ourselves reading the Word with an unconscious attempt to make what it has to say line up with the opinions we've incorporated into our mindset.] In other words, there are opinions and then there are opinions. Some opinions about the Bible have little resemblance to what the Scriptures intended, while others seem to "ring true"having been formed by those who have obeyed their Lord and studied the Word to show themselves approved unto God. MAY GOD GRANT US ALL THE SPIRIT OF DISCERNMENT THAT WE MIGHT DIFFERENTIATE BETWEEN THE UNDERSTANDING THAT IS A GIFT OF GOD AND THE MERE WORDS OF MAN! B'Ann Wrote: I like to cut straight to the chase. Jesus was talking to his disciples when they asked, "When will the end be?" He answeredand I'm paraphrasing"Look, guys, no one knows but the father when these things will happen?" (Matt. 24:36) And at another time He exhorted, "Watch, ye therefore " This "watch" refers not to watching for His returning, but watching for the welfare of those for whom He is returning. [After all, what was the job of the watchman in Biblical times?] In other words, we are to be watching out for the harvest of the kingdom; or simply put He's telling us to get up and get busy doing what the Father told us to do. The correct approach toward prophecy should spur us into action. If you or I saw a storm approaching and we had a harvest in the field, or a fishing boat out on the water, we would start preparing for the storm. As we see the signs coming to pass, this should make us hurry to bring in the harvest or to get the boat into safe harbor. Jesus said, " the fields are white already unto harvest." He also said, " I will make you fishers of men." His last exhortation was, "Go ye therefore " Where does this leave us? If He, the Son of God, was teaching us to be focused upon our own jobs, our own responsibilities to the Kingdom, then we must bring ourselves into subjection to the will of the Father. If God did not tell Jesus all about the end-time events, do you think He is going to supercede His Son and tell us? Rather, don't you think that as He did with Jesus, He will have us to be concentrating on the tasks at hand? NOW, let's return to this prophecy given in 1999. Christ did tell us that as the time drew near, the signs would get closer and closer, just as the labor pains of a woman, until the end-time events are "birthed." But as with all things spiritual, prophecy has to line up with the Word. If this prophecy supposedly revealed something to some body of believers that God did not want revealedeven to His Son, then surely this is a time to apply the Scriptures and test the spirits to see if they are of God. After all, the Bible is our plumb line and we are commanded to apply the test of the Scripture to any and all prophecy--as well as any spiritual influence in our lives--and the failure to do so might well cause one to go chasing after "strange" spirits. Yes, there is a "Word of prophecy" that is a part of the Scriptures and there is a gift of prophecy (some churches also call it a word of prophecy) that is supposed to function in the Grace Age Church. But they are not the same, for they are given for different purposes. The word of prophecy (i.e., the gift of prophecy) that comes forth in a local body has a two-fold purpose for the time at hand. It is a NOW word and its function is to build up the faith and resolve of the individual believers or to help prepare the individual believer for the NOW task of bringing other souls into the kingdom. This is not to say that a word cannot come forth in the body in preparation for the times ahead, but it is to say that such an utterance will not contradict the Word of Prophecy which is "settled in Heaven." In short, such an utterance must line up with these exhortations: "Seek ye first the Kingdom of God and its righteousness " and "Follow me and I will make you fisher of men." However, the enemy of our souls would have us to believe that winning souls is too great a load to carry. In its place, he would have us to become concerned with this heavy burden of the beast, the antichrist, and to become so caught up with the dreadful end-time events, that we can't function as a soul winner. Jesus, of course, foresaw all of this, so He gave us an EASY WATCH to keepone that is as easy to keep as READING THE WORD, PRAYING, GIVING IN THE SPIRIT, AND SOUL-WINNING. As I said earlier, the enemy would make these basic tasks seem overwhelming to us. But remember, Jesus said "My yoke is easy, my burden light." [His burden is easy because He will be with us empowering us, and it will be light because in His presence there is joy.] If I want to be a balanced Christian, and if I want realistic goals in my walk as a believer, then I must follow the admonition of Christ and leave the end of the world to God Who created it. He didn't consult me when He created worlds without end, and I am perfectly submitted to the fact that He may not tell me any of His business as the end of these worlds draws near. Therefore, I do not dwell upon these things. And I am at perfect peace doing the everyday tasks that God has commanded. If it so happens that I do not get to see the end of our Age of Gracewell, for sure I will approach an end time for my own physical being. Consequently, I have no desire to become stalemated and sit on "do nothing"overwhelmed with what the beast might do to me. Or for that matter, I am determined not to be consumed by the fear of viruses, cancer, accidents, bacteria, etc.or of what man might do to me. I have to trust death to God; and I want to trust Him with my life, for He promised, "I will keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on Me." TRUST AND OBEY, AND ENJOY THESE MARVELOUS DAYS. |

I don't want to argue with them but I want to convince them. Im praying about it too, I would appreciate your help and advice. Thanx!! Jason B'Ann wrote:This is a situation where one has to enter into the promise where Christ said, "If I be lifted up, I will draw all men unto me." You will have to lift Christ up in any way that opens, and then trust Him to draw them. Sometimes even after He "draws" men toward Him, they will turn away. This is not your problem. You may not even get to say too much because they probably will not trust your words. If you live and conduct yourself in a manner that is truly Christian, not one that is "better then thou", then this is the greatest witness. Actions speak louder than words. I do want to admonish you; however. True humility is the authority of Christ. Consider this!!! I recall one summer in 1981, I was at the church practicing the organ for the next service. A man came into the church and said he was just passing by and wanted to come inside and view the stained glass windows. Also, of great interest in this church was the ceiling which was made of knotty pine arranged in the shape of the cross. I suddenly knew that this would be the only time I would ever get to speak to him. I asked him about his relationship with Jesus. He replied that he didn't want to talk about that because he was presently in an eastern religion and believed that there were many doors to God/heaven. I shared the scripture where Jesus said, "I am the door. No man cometh to the Father but by me". I remarked that he really needed to be sure that he was coming in the right door. Years later I saw him at a local church. He had been converted, was preaching and very joyful. At the time I talked to him in 1981, he had lost his family, his home, and his employment. They were all back together and traveling for Jesus. Remember, my conversation was very brief; but sometimes a word fitly spoken is the best. |

In that context, the next total solar eclipse of August 11, 1999 will be an outstanding landmark This date can easily be found in Jonah, Ruth,Tobit, Joel and Micah. Yes, there is another manner to read the Holy Scriptures. I invite you to download free and to read my book : " The deciphered Bible B'Ann wrote: I find it amazing that God did something for you that He did not do for His Son, Jesus. When the disciples asked him about dates we find recorded in Mat 24:3; 36.
If he did not tell His only Begotten Son when the "end" would be, I find it doubtful that he will let any of us be date setters! As you can see, we have no patience with date setting. The only reason we are to be curious about the times can be summed up in Mat 16:3.
What times? The time to get about the harvest, to gather the fields that are "white unto harvest" to gather the harvest in and shelter if from the damaging, foul weather. Here He was trying to admonish the people to be about the business of the Father, i.e. spreading the gospel/soul winning. They had been setting dates for the King of Kings to be born in Bethlehem and when He arrived, grew to manhood and started to fulfill His ministry, they had no idea it was Him. Our business is not to try to be God the Father and set a date when we decide He must do such and such. For example, in the matter of Nineveh, he repented and did not destroy the city but rather gave them about 400 more years. So, since we are in the Age of Unmerited Grace, God may decide to extend or shorten this time, who knows. It is a waste of time to set dates. The time used trying to pinpoint God could be better used to go out among people and give them just a simple Good News tract. We are not called to make some great Biblical scoop to astonish the world with our great knowledge. We are called to give the simple message of salvation and we have very little time to do thiseach of us has about seventy years, compared to the vast expanse of time. We need to observe the simple task assigned to our "time" which is witnessing, and do it! DOWEKNOW when God will send Christ in the second-coming? WE DO NOT! But WE DO KNOW what our job is as Christians, i.e. soul winning through the foolishness of preaching. Get back to John 3:16. |

Wooly Hair and Bronze Feet. God does not lie Satan is a deceiver and for centuries he has deceived the World, yet YWVH is still on the throne and the false christ is dethroned. Don't be confused, Truth Issue Not Race Issue Saving Souls Not Skins B'Ann wrote: The Age of Grace, ushered in by the death of Christ on the cross, brought salvation to "whosoever will". However, we read in the Old Testament where God did attempt to use the Jewish nation, the natural seed of Abraham, as the nation to show His power to the world through a theocratic form of government. Although the Israelites spurned His attempts, God has never forgotten His promises to Abraham's seed. Now, the world has been given a more perfect "testament" and Israel, too, can come into the kingdom by way of the cross. In fact, this new way was first taken to Abraham's seed promised through Isaac. The Scriptures do not teach that any one race is superior to another, but God did have a relationship with the Hebrew nation that was different from the relationship that He now has with the "grafted/adopted seed" which come from the Gentile nations. The Gentile believers were "grafted in" as God's "chosen" (Romans 11) when the Hebrew nation became exclusionary and started teaching that no one could be God's chosen but them. The Hebrews were just supposed to be God's ambassadors on earth to show a more excellent way to the other tribes. They were never supposed to consider themselves a superior race; but rather, to show the world a more perfect way. We are all of the seed of Adam, a common thread that runs through all of us. Certainly God will not forget His promises of old nor will He cast away any of the "whosoever will." It is as Jesus said in John 18:9: "That the saying might be fulfilled, which he spake, Of them which thou gavest me have I lost none." (cf. Jn. 17:12; Jn. 6:7) We (the believers of all races and nationalities) are supposed to rule and reign with Him when He returns to set up His kingdom. |
