I have found it very informative and look forward to continued reading. I went the to the link entitled Consensus. I followed some of what you referred to in the Bible, found a mistake I wanted to bring to your attention. Here it referred to 2 Tim. 4: 1 - 4. I went to that chapter to follow along and found that My bible and yours were different. I found, however that 2 Tim. 3: 1-4 was the chapter you were quoting from. Please correct this as it is very confusing. thanks! sincerely DON WROTE: Thanks so much, Janet. The mistake has been duly noted and corrected. With enough help, we will eventually get this site up on the Web. Love, |

MARGIE
WROTE: I am so glad you have teachings on Revelations. I get very confused reading Revelations and hope your teaching helps. I read the first chapter tonight and i'm looking forward to reading the second chapter tomorrow night. Thank you and God Bless, Margie L______ --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Hello Margie: Hey, thanks for checking out our web site and thanks for taking the time to WRAP with us. In the natural we understand that not all doctors, lawyers, mechanics, teachers, etc., are equal. So, we learn to "test" and "try" them. Those whose work stands, we adopt as our doctors, lawyers, etc. This is the way it should be in the spiritual. Did not Jesus say that we would know them by their fruit?
He did not say this so that we could go around talking about people, but that we might know who to believe and who to fellowship. As you read and listen to our site, if you find that the Spirit within you bears witness to it and that it brings you peace, then you have reason to thank God and to give Him the praise for what He is doing. I'm sure that if you read much of our site, it won't be long before you realize that although we are sharing the end-time word that we feel we have from the Lord, our main stress is that you love your neighbor even as Christ has loved you and that you share His precious Words of love and forgiveness with your center of influence. If we all do this, we will make a difference in our world. Love, Don |
? WROTE: Question-Comment: I have so many things on my mind about the end of the world that I don't know were to start so I guess i'll start here. I have been very worried about the rapture were god takes his people up to the sky but I think it is coming VERY VERY SOON!!! don't it say in the bible that one of the signs of gods return is we won't be able to tell what season it is. and just the other day there was a tornado watch and a couple days after the temprature was 66. now is that a sign or not I don't know!! please answer fast love one of gods kids p.s. my age is 13 B'ANN WROTE: Hello "One of God's Kids": As I read this, I was reminded of a story Corrie Ten Boom told. (She wrote the book called "The Hiding Place") I was fortunate to hear her speak in 1976. Anyway, when she was a young girl, she was wondering about "adult" things and her daddy told her to pick up his suitcase which was full of his watch making tools. She tried but told him it was to heavy to lift. He replied that as a child she did not need to try to "carry" things that were too heavy for her. I'm sorry that the so called "end time" messages causes you to have fear. This must be a burden for you. If the Bible were taught correctly, and if people did not portray God as someone just waiting to "whip" the world, then, maybe you would not be going through this. The Bible says, "Hope maketh not ashamed"; "Fear hath torment" and "Perfect love casteth out fear". The job of a 13 year old like yourself is basically to profess Christ as a personal Savior, to read and learn about the Bible and to share the faith with friends. If you will do the simplicity of sharing John 3:16 with your friends, you will find that the fear of the end time will not be prominent in you. Be sure that you have Christ in your heart and then go about your life as a Christian. You must remember the "wrath" of God was not intended for man. It was intended for Satan and the fallen angels. God sent His Son to die on the cross so that all who believe on His Name could escape that time. Only those that reject Christ will go through the end-time judgment with Satan. If you are a child of the King, you have not fear. Neither should you fear when it might occur. It will be in the "twinkling of an eye" not a "blinking of the eye". Super sonic, huh! As I look around the earth, I love how it looks and smells. This is normal and we are not supposed to want to leave it in a hurry. I want it to go on blooming in the spring, basking in the summer, changing in the fall, snowing in the winter, and in general just be Mother Earth. Enjoy life! Set some realistic goals for yourself and what you want to accomplish and start walking toward that goal. If your heart is that you want to serve Him with all your being, you don't even to worry if you have the right goal or not, for He will guide you in this and in all things. Don't worry about God destroying any part of your world. He will help you build it! Did not He promise to make all things work together for good to them who love Him and called according to His purposes. We hear had a lot of "hype" about the "end time," and most have no inkling of what they are saying. As to when Jesus will return, He said that only the Father knew the time and the hour. Even Jesus did not know. This was not His job on earth. His job was to die for the Sin of man. So, I guess we will have to leave the ending of things to God and get about the living of our lives. When we are told in the Bible to look at the signs of the times and to know that the end time is near, this was so we will be concerned that our friends and family be ready for His harvest. If a farmer could see a storm approaching, he would gather in as much of the crop as possible before the storm did its damage. In Matthew 9:37 Jesus told His disciples, "The harvest truly is plenteous, but the labourers are few " In effect, He was simply telling Christians to look around them at the numerous people who needed to hear the Great Commission. And by the way, the Great Commission is:
Jesus did not give us the end-time signs to watch in fear. We are supposed to learn about Jesus and grow as a Christian. As the predicted signs come to pass, they should bring us peace for we know that not only did Jesus know 2000 years ago about today's confusion, but He is still with us, still bringing His perfect ways to pass. And especially note that He ended the great commission with " and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen." P.S. Click on this link "The Singers of Heart," and listen to the songs that our children sang when they were younger. May they bring peace to you. |

WROTE: Where can I find a bible that has not been amended or abridged? I thought the King James bible was incomplete, or changed. I do not want to read a bible translation that is in-accurate, or incomplete. DON WROTE: To "?" I don't know where you got your impression that the King James Bible is incomplete and inaccurate. The Following is an excerpt from our Book THE CLOCK OF THE AGES.
In this age when deceptions abound and confusion is the rule, it is good that we take care lest we be deceived. However, we do not want to become so negative and paranoid that we will not even allow the Holy Spirit to give us His approval of what is real and what isn't. The Church has continued to exist and to be maintained from the day of Acts forward because the Holy Spirit has preserved and made available a Word that we can trust and a Word that He will honor. For me, when I heard Christ preached and was convicted of my sins and birthed into the Kingdom of God, it was when I heard the message contained in the KING JAMES VERSION. Likewise, when I feed my soul on the manna of the Word, the King James Version is my mainstay. However, I'm convinced that any version of the Bible (or any preacher) who delivers John 3:16 is delivering enough of God's Word that He can save "whosoever will." However, this does not take away from my belief which I've just quoted from my book. Thanks for WRAPPING with us. Don |
"BARBABUS"
WROTE:
B'ANN WROTE: I find it amusing that we are so side tracked about the "end times." I guess this is to keep our minds off the "present times"-- and our job as Christians in this day and age, which is to do the command of Matthew 28:19-20.
How can you quote all these things you wrote and still not understand. Where is your peace? "Fear hath torment " and "Perfect love casteth out fear" are two Bible truths that should tell you about God. He is not sitting up there waiting to "whip up" on mankind. The "wrath" to which you are referring was never intended for man. It was decreed for Satan and the fallen angels. God sent His Son to make a way of escape for those that believe upon His Name. If you believe in Christ, then you will not have to go through any wrath reserved for Satan. As to the first part of the tribulation, all the world will experience it because the Scriptures teach that it will be as a woman having birth pains.
We as Christians will experience the first part of the "contractions" to the extent that we will know that there is a "labor" process occurring; and undoubtedly, to some it will be given to "suffer for His name's sake." However, by faith I am confident that God will not suffer His people to go through the wrath reserved for Satan and those who follow him.. The kindness shown to Lot should help us have faith that God will make a difference between the believers and the unbelievers, the just and the unjust. If Christ's death on the cross doesn't count for any type of pass over, then why did He come? You need to stop worrying about things that even Jesus did not have to carry. He said that only the Father knew when the end of our age would come. Jesus' job was to bear the Sin of the world when He died upon the cross. Our job is to do the Great Commission, mentioned in Matthew 18: 19-20. God has reserved the ending of things for Himself, and Himself alone. We will just have to believe by faith that He is the God revealed in Romans 3:25-26. Paul was referring to Jesus when he wrote:.
Here, God declares that He is "just" (He created us; so, He has a responsibility to provide a fool proof way of escape from the wrath reserved exclusively for Satan and his followers. ON THE CROSS HE FULFILLED THAT RESPONSIBILITY.). In this passage He also declares that He is the "justifier" of all who believe in Jesus. Although the Bibles does say of the unbelievers: "But after thy hardness and impenitent heart treasurest up unto thyself wrath against the day of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgment of God" (Romans 2:5), it says of the believer that the just shall be delivered from the wrath to come.
The Bible also says that the Church is "...to wait for his Son from heaven, whom he raised from the dead, even Jesus, which delivered us from the wrath to come" (1 Thessalonians 1:10). Consequently, Only those that reject Christ will go through the wrath reserved for the devil. True, when Jesus was taken up in front of the Disciples after His resurrection, the angel said:
But if we are continually just gazing up--trying to figure out when the end time will come, then we will have fallen for the greatest ploy of Satan yet. Such continual gazing up and speculation upon His return will prevent us from looking around at the fields that are white already unto harvest. Church, let's get about the harvest. Let's put our hands to the plow, sow the seed of the word, water the seed, daily. Let's let Jesus wash our feet that have become dusty from working in the field. If we are not careful, we will become "So heavenly minded that we are no earthly good." This is our present-day "watch." We are to do the Great Commission and watch for souls. We don't have to speculate and wonder about this direct command from Jesus to fulfill the Great Commission. Church, let's really hear what the Lord had to say about His second coming.
Note that we are to watch! So, please do not read our comments as though it is unimportant to "know the Scriptures" concerning our Lord's return. It is important to Him (and to us) that His Church be looking for His return. But let's look for the right reasons, that we might welcome Him and rejoice at His returning and at the new things He will do. We don't need to help God bring anything to an end. He is perfectly capable of such. Since God alone knows when anything will end, then why are we trying to force a revelation from God that He saw fit to keep from Jesus? We need to stop trying to receive a great "religious coup" in which we can astound the world and get about the simplicity of John 3:16. In other words, we need to stop trying to mind God's business and to take care of our own responsibilities while we are on this earth! If there is some particular "teaching in the Bible" about prophecy that you do not understand, please feel free to ask us and we will do our best to answer, or we will put it up on our WRAP AROUNDS so that we can get the thoughts of others. Remember, the Bible belongs to the Church and there is no "private" interpretation of prophecy (II Peter 1:20). Love, Don & B'Ann Love |
