SHANE WROTE:

I visited your page as I surveyed some sites dealing with the book of Revelation. I appreciate your work and your ministry but I just wanted to note that you refer to the book of the Revelation often in the plural, i.e., "Revelations." I am certain this is an oversite and I have heard many refer to the book in that manner. But the title is not in the plural. It is the Book of the Revelation. Specifically, verse 1 lets us know that it is "the revelation of Jesus Christ" given to the Son by God, the Father. Jesus in turn made it known to John through his angel. The term "revelation" in the title should be referred to in the singular even though it contains several events and scenes. It is, as a whole, the Revelation of Jesus Christ.

I don't mean to be critical, just helpful. Again, I appreciate your website!

Sincerely In the Lord's service,

Shane

Hey Shane,

Thanks for the help. You will note that I refer to our study as a study of "revelations" since we refer to both New and Old Testament prophecies. However, I did find some references to the Book of Revelations—hopefully, I've corrected them all.

Maranatha,

Don

Our good friends David and Jeanne Gleespen have been searching the web again. They sent us this story that they had found, and I thought we'd share it with our visitors.

An Eye Witness Account from New York City, on a cold day in December:

A little boy about 10 years old was standing before a shoe store on the roadway, barefooted, peering through the window, and shivering with cold.

A lady approached the boy and said, "My little fellow, why are you looking so earnestly in that window?"

"I was asking God to give me a pair of shoes," was the boy's reply.

The lady took him by the hand and went into the store and asked the clerk to get half a dozen pairs of socks for the boy. She then asked if he could give her a basin of water and a towel.

He quickly brought them to her.

She took the little fellow to the back part of the store and, removing her gloves, knelt down, washed his little feet, and dried them with a towel.

By this time the clerk had returned with the socks.

Placing a pair upon the boy's feet, she purchased him a pair of shoes. She tied up the remaining pairs of socks and gave them to him.

She patted him on the head and said, "No doubt, my little fellow, you feel more comfortable now?"

As she turned to go, the astonished lad caught her by the hand, and looking up in her face, with tears in his eyes, answered the question with this:

"Are you God's Wife?"

Think about it, Church!
