CHARLOTTE WROTE:
Question-Comment: our training union class is studying rev 7 our teacher asked us to think on this question will a church member be able to be saved during the tribulation period i read your website and it is wonderful do you have any free pamplets on revelation i would be interested to know your answer to this question thanks charlottecorley@yahoo.com Hello Charlotte, Thanks for your question. I sure that you know what you mean by the terms that you used; but to others, your question is a classic example of the confusion brought into the churches by the differing definitions that are assigned to various Biblical terms. For example, the term "church member" is seen differently by different people. Some apply the term to believers while others preach that the church member may or may not be a born again member of the Kingdom of God. Also, the word "saved" has many meanings, depending upon the denomination/preacher/teacher. Some equate "saved" to being born again and possessing eternal life. Others teach that it is a conditional term that can be temporal/fluctuating--depending upon the lifestyle of the church member. Still, others feel that it is a term that can only be applied to the believer after his/her walk of faith is finished and he or she has finally overcome all of the trials and testings of this life. In addition, the "tribulation period" means different things to different people which will effect our approach to the prophetic portions of the Scriptures and our understanding or lack thereof. Since you have used all three of these terms in your question, I would have to know your understanding of the terms to be able to answer you. For our understanding of the terms and how they apply to prophecy, go to our on-line book THE CLOCK OF THE AGES. If after you've read it, you still have questions, we'll be glad to share with you what we feel we have gleaned from the Word. Also, for our understanding of the seventh chapter of Revelation, see our on-line study of the Book of Revelation. As to our having free booklets of the material in our books, the on-line books are comprised of booklets and all you need to do is choose the print option on your Internet Browser and you can make your own. Thanks again for WRAPping with us. Don |

YOU WROTE: Question-Comment: Dear Servant of God, I am very grateful this morning to greet you in Jesus Name. I am Blessed with the great work that you are doing in His Kingdom, keep it up. I believe God to increase your Ministries around the world so that you can minister to many people in this generation and be a blessing to them. I Am Pastor Caleb Makochar, I am pastoring here in Kenya, and we have just established our new church and we believe God to enable us build and purchase a big area. Our ministry is one of the fastest growing pentecostal, spirit filled organisation here in Kenya. We love people and we are a Bible believing church, therefore we love people and we aim at making the church like a family and teaching believers to bring them to God through Jesus Christ. We are praying for your ministry to give you strength and favor in everything that you do. We love you and I believe God is going to send you to Africa, so that you may come and see what we are doing and also be a blessing to our country and our people in Jesus Name. God bless you so much and pray with us and keep in touch. Amen Yours in Christ Love, Pastor Caleb Makochar DON WROTE: Hello Brother Caleb, Thanks for the word of encouragement. It is good to hear that God is using you to begin a good work in Kenya. This brings back memories of new works that we have been involved in and the joy of new beginnings. Keep us up to date as to what the Lord is doing in your midst. We know that it is God's will for every church that He has established to grow in grace and truth--and numbers. However, the Lord has dealt with us that acquiring new land and buildings does not necessarily mean that a church is growing. These can be the fruit of a growing church, but as many empty churches in the U.S. attest, they do not necessarily reflect the spiritual health of a local body. If a church (i.e., a local body of born-again believers) has learned to pray in the Spirit and to walk in the Spirit, then the Lord will add to the church daily such as should be saved (Acts 2:42-47) and the membership will grow. As the membership grows and the need for new land and buildings, then these can be acquired--and we are confident that you will continue to grow as long as you continue to love people and to feed upon the Bible. Also, let us share with you a word of caution that the Lord has laid on our hearts for new churches outside of the U.S. Please, do not be overly impressed by churches just because they are based in the United States. Granted, there was a time when the United States based most all of its activities, both at home and abroad, on Scriptural standards--but that day is long past. In the 50s and 60s, a great part of the pastors/elders of our churches became "educated/distinguished" and lost sight of the Great Commission that the Lord Jesus laid down for His Church. Instead of teaching the babes-in-Christ how to pray in the Spirit, to study the Bible in the Spirit, and to walk in the Spirit; those serving as the Lord's shepherds began teaching a "social gospel" and began embracing a "new morality" which is not moral at all. As a consequence, the great commission has been ignored and the U.S. churches are now fulfilling end-time prophecies concerning the "great falling away." Because these new shepherds have been a strong influence on our society, our nation has strayed from the path that our forefathers walked. This can be seen in the strong, so-called "liberal" movement in our society which is anti-Christ and is promoting those activities which are explicitly forbidden in the Bible. This liberal movement threatens to become a majority in our land. (By the way, in Isaiah 32:5 we are told that when the Lord Jesus returns to our earth to set up His Kingdom, that "The vile person shall be no more called liberal.") The churches in the U.S. have another problem of which you are probably already aware. That is the divisions of the churches into "denominations/factions" which are at odds with one another (the Methodist, the Presbyterian, the Catholic, the Pentecostal, etc.), each claiming to speak for/represent God--yet each speaking different and often contradicting words. As can be expected, this is causing confusion among those who want to believe, as well as distrust and disgust among the lost in the world that the Church is commissioned to bring to our Savior! Wouldn't it be great if believers (especially their leaders) would obey the Word by loving people in deed and in truth and let God speak for Himself! I personally find it sad that churches cannot be named after a town or a street, etc., strictly for identification of location rather than after some splintered fragment of the church. (See our on-line book MARK THEM.) I can find no Scripture to justify such divisions of the Body of Christ; but I do see where the Church is to be one in Christ and that He is to be the Head of His church (Eph.1:22; 5:23)--not some superintendent or elder. That you say you are spirit-filled lets us know that you will fervently seek the leadership of the Holy Spirit. Also, we commend you in that you believe the Bible and love one another; for this is the Scriptural way to bring people to Christ and to build a church.
We'll close by thanking you for your invitation to come to Kenya and minister in person. At this point in time, that does not seem feasible. However, B'Ann and I both sensed early on in our Christian walk that we were to go overseas. This was even prophesied for us in the church. But this was well before the Internet had come to be. Now, through the means of the Internet, we feel that we are overseas--and in ways that we could not be in person. For example, our teachings and music can be utilized at any time of the day or night by those who have access to the internet. The teachings can be studied at leisure, at each person's pace, and repeated when needed. The illustrations can be very helpful, for truly a picture can sometimes be worth a thousand words. In addition, because the Internet is a "two-way street," we can interact with people--sharing our faith with others and answering any personal questions "one on one." Isn't it a wonderful time to be alive and to serve our Lord Jesus!?! Thanks again for WRAPping with us, Don
