TO OUR CYBER-VISITORS:

Today, my children, with the help of the youth in their church, have had a "yard sale"–the proceeds going to missions. (In a "yard sale" people sale things that they rarely use for a low price rather than let them lay around and gather dust.) As I observed the joy they had putting the sale together and raising the money; and as I thought on the joy the money would bring those for whom it is intended, my heart became heavy because of the many joys that the scattered, visible church has been missing!

If you have surfed through our web site, you have come across our comments concerning the denominations (divisions) of the visible church–how we believe that these man-made organizations are playing a key part in the fulfillment of the Bible's dire predictions for the church at the end of our agefor the Bible does say that like Israel of old, the visible church would be far from God, "...having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof" (II Tim. 3:5). What a shame; but think about how different things could be if the Church were "one" in Christ and doing what Jesus intended.

Think on it! If the Church were "one" in Christ; then Christ would be the Head of the churches instead of the pope, the priests, the district superintendents, the self-appointed, charismatic preachers, etc.–and what a difference this would make! For example:

  1. Instead of every denomination and every independent local church having to have its own set of buildings, the One True Church could build where and when the need dictated–saving "oodles" of money that could actually be used for the Lord's work.
  2. The money now being spent by the differing church leaders on the upkeep of their religious organizations (organizations they use to maintain their hierarchy of control) could also be spent as the Lord leads.
  3. In the place of the multitude of vain words and numerous rituals intended to lull the Church asleep, the believers would each be hearing from their Master and know His will and way for their lives.
  4. The on-looking world that is now confused and repelled from the Gospel of Christ because of the behavior of the visible churches would be able to see the light in the Church and a reason for hope!
  5. Last, but not least–and this brings me back to the kid's yard sale–the whole Body of Christ (the Born-again Believers) could be so in tune with Christ that He could ever-so-often have all Christians, world-wide, having yard sales and sending the proceeds to the missions and the needy around the world!

It is really very difficult for his mother to feed all of them and send them to school. If you could find some people who can assist them 20 dollar per month as an educational support. It would be real blessing for this family. Rakesh have a sister and they live with their Mother. They don't have their father too. He is dead some years ago. Their mother income is below two dollar a day in garment factory. As a guardian and a Pastor I feel responsibility to help them.

I have many reports of people coming to Christ in our Churches aroundNepal. I will share this in my June-July update. Untill then, please keep on praying for us.
