OUR CYBER-VISITORS:
Today, my children, with the help of the youth in their church, have had a "yard sale"–the proceeds going to missions. (In a "yard sale" people sale things that they rarely use for a low price rather than let them lay around and gather dust.) As I observed the joy they had putting the sale together and raising the money; and as I thought on the joy the money would bring those for whom it is intended, my heart became heavy because of the many joys that the scattered, visible church has been missing! If you have surfed through our web site, you have come across our comments concerning the denominations (divisions) of the visible church–how we believe that these man-made organizations are playing a key part in the fulfillment of the Bible's dire predictions for the church at the end of our age–for the Bible does say that like Israel of old, the visible church would be far from God, "...having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof" (II Tim. 3:5). What a shame; but think about how different things could be if the Church were "one" in Christ and doing what Jesus intended. Think on it! If the Church were "one" in Christ; then Christ would be the Head of the churches instead of the pope, the priests, the district superintendents, the self-appointed, charismatic preachers, etc.–and what a difference this would make!
