Question-Comment: Hi DON WROTE:
Maranatha, |
This good word comes to us from Pastor Gideon Mudenyo of Kenya, Africa.
PASTOR GIDEON WROTE: January 22 - Live Like Jesus B'ANN WROTE: We were never told to "imitate" Jesus but to follow His example. The one that tried to be a carbon copy of God's Son was Satan who turned out to be the ultimate example of arrogance and pride. Jesus taught us to pray!!! Always he went apart and prayed for guidance. After he received his instructions by way of the Holy Spirit, he went out among the multitude and did the works of his Father. He did have an advantage over we mere mortals because He had been with the Father in the Trinity and He knew the power of prayer. We have difficulty with this because 1.) we don't take time to commune with God, 2.) we are living in an instant society with instant foods, cell phones, TV, etc. and we have so many distractions that it is almost impossible to pray for any length of time. In addition, there are few denominations which teach that believers should wait upon the Lord for His answer. Most churches jump in and have committee meetings that run the financial part of the ministry. This spills over into control of the activities done by the church. God is not a part of most churches, which in a sense, makes them the same as a social club. We have some great civic clubs in the U.S. that promote the general welfare of the citizens, but the Body of Christ is neither a club or an organization. We are called to go into the highways and hedges and compel people to accept Christ as their Savior. My two daughters and one of my sons are doing the praise and worship at a local fellowship. I told them that I had a concern. If we are "making love to Jesus" (excuse the boldness) then we will birth souls into the kingdom. So many of our new praise and worship songs are for the first person (I, self, me) and does not point the believer to a walk that cares about the souls of others. I am alarmed when there are no evident conversions within a group that claims the name of Christian. We have a divine calling which is to do exactly what this Scripture says:
Please note that in the Scriptures referring to the “marriage”, that this was an allegory that was used to prove a point. Not all the people that were invited to the wedding accepted the invitation, but they were extended an invitation. Not everyone that we witness to in our everyday encounters will accept Christ as their Savior, at least not visibly at that particular moment in time, but we must give them the invitation which will remain open as long as they are alive on this earth. God gives us this blessed promise:
Also, there is nothing wrong with a central meeting place for the local church. But if all the time and money of the members are used just for maintaining the building (their club house); then, God needs to shake them up and remind them of their first love. Yes, it is a witness to those round about if we do have a home that is neat and tidy, a sufficient home for our families' needs so that we do not go about begging and in shame. But it is my prayer that for the time and monies spent on your buildings, that there will be an equal amount spent on evangelizing the neighborhoods. Walk the walk and talk the talk and Jesus will be glorified. In His Love, B'Ann |

BROTHER BOBY
WROTE:
Respected Representative of Don Love Ministries, PLease send me some information about your ministry and ministry
material by postal mail I shall be highly thankful to you. We want
your positive & quick reply as soon as possible for the Jesus Christ. DON WROTE: Dear Brother Boby, Although we know by faith that God uses our Web site to bless His children, still, it blesses and encourages us to hear that He is doing just that! Our hearts are there in Pakistan with you for God has laid the plight of Muslims everywhere upon our hearts—and not just the Muslim people, but people of all religions who "inherited" their religion and have never known the joy of the Lord or the "peace which passeth understanding" that is the gift to those who have accepted Christ Jesus as their Lord and Savior and been born-again by the precious Holy Spirit. As to our coming over to Pakistan, at present, the Lord is not leading us that way; but let me remind you that Jesus is already there and He does not need some "super saint" from the United States to arrive before He can meet needs. In fact, as I read the Bible, the Church has never had any "super saints"—yet God has still managed to do His work through humble/obedient, average people who have been willing and faithful! Consider Peter. It is said that he was a "loud-mouth" and impulsive, and the Bible tells us of some of his failings—yet God used him mightily and is still using him every time someone reads the book of Acts or his two epistles: I and II Peter. And what about the Apostle Paul who understood that in his flesh was no good thing and that the only righteousness that God recognizes in man is the righteousness which is imputed to us through faith in Christ Jesus and given to us as a fruit of the Holy Spirit. It is our prayer that God will raise up some men who have been faithful to study the Word and full of faith and courage who will enter into the harvest in your area. Don't forget to WRAP with us every so often and let us know what God is doing in your midst. Maranatha, Don B'ANN WROTE:
You speak of needing to train people to evangelize. Somewhere
along the way, we must remember that a truly trained Christian would be the
one that was as blessed as the Apostle Paul. At first, he could only give
his testimony of how he was born again. This was a powerful experience that
led him to press into this conversion that he had experienced. Because he was
truly converted, he did not rest until he followed the example of Jesus,
which was to take time to commune with God and get to know Him through prayer. The Holy
Spirit directed his steps to the people that could help him through the next steps of his ministry. Everyone should start giving their testimony as soon as possible after their born again experience because it keeps their hope fresh and new in their hearts. As they grow and mature in Christ Jesus, they will move naturally into a deeper fellowship with God--but share the seed of personal testimony they must. Don’t feel that we are impervious to the suffering and restrictions place upon you in countries controlled by other cultural beliefs. But since Christians are not a cultural belief, but a power energized by the Holy Spirit, we should accept no restrictions upon sharing the Word. This Kingdom is in the hearts of men and women everywhere; it is not in competition with other beliefs. It is more powerful than a culture handed down from generation to generation, for being born again is an instants process of renewal. If we could only understand the Power that has been given us. We need to get back to the simplicity of the Scriptures and stop striving for great and wonderful visible ministries here on earth. Walk the Walk and Talk the Talk and God will provide for your needs in Christ Jesus. Claim the understanding and experience of this Scripture!!!

BROTHER KING
WROTE:
Nigeria, W/Africa. Calvary greetings.
We sincerely desire a hand of fellowship with you and your ministry in whatever capacity the Lord would enable you to relate. Meanwhile, we would need some of your dynamic messages, songs (tapes, CDs or DVDs), magazines and books... for our personal spiritual development or as the Lord lays upon your heart...praise God! We look forward to your warmth reply. Thanks Your brother and sister in the vine, Pastors Kenneth & Sarah King B'ANN Wrote: Hello! Our fellowship is what you see on the web. Please feel free to download the music and messages. We were instructed to start this website so it could become a point of contact for God’s people everywhere. We need to realize how big God is, and try not to limit Him or ourselves. We named it “doweknow” (Do We Know?) to start each Christian searching for their place in Christ Jesus. We also wanted to challenge the “Christian Culture” that has sprung up as a way of life in the United States rather than a way of faith. We see nations that have different cultural beliefs, and we in the United States have, in the past, claimed to have a Christian Culture. But God speaks of “born again believers” that are energized by belief in Christ and led by the Holy Spirit. We are not to be a culture but rather a body of believers spread abroad in every nation. Every government on earth has some type of earthly culture that drives how they think and behave, but Christians are supposed to be members of a Spiritual Body that was bought and paid for by the Blood of Jesus. It would really benefit us to ask “doweknow” when approaching matters of God’s true purpose for mankind on earth. Please do not confuse the Christian Culture that is prevalent in the U.S. today with the true Body of Christ that is in all nations. We have been fortunate to have religious freedom which, until now, has allow the Christian Culture, the Churches, and the acceptance of Christianity to occur unhindered. But we need to know that the true Church, comprised of the born again believers, cannot be stopped by any government on earth for it is of Christ and the very gates of hell cannot prevail against it. It is not an ideology, a creed, a slogan, a club, …but a spiritual body of born again believers. We believers are everywhere, or at least we should be everywhere. Faith is something that we carry in our Spirit, not in our minds, that is energized by the office of the Holy Spirit. If we ever lay hold of the reality of the power that is our in Christ Jesus, it will be a marvelous thing to see. We are not to take over governments, usurp authority, overthrow this regime or that regime. Jesus was never against things. He always was for a better way. Neither are we a doormat to be trodden under the feet of men. We should be careful about using our positions as Christian to destroy things; but, rather, to make things better around us. Jesus had true humility, yet He claimed to be the Son of God. Think about that! We can have true humility but claim to be a Child of God!!!
Many have asked that we come and minister in their location. This would put our physical bodies at a point on the map with a radius of ten to twenty miles. But time is short and we can make contact all over the world with this website. It is imperative that we try to break through the barriers of the past and become true believers again. The True Church is united by the Holy Spirit. We will be going about our daily tasks and find that we are suddenly reminded to pray for people that have written to our website. Not just those, but others that might not have access to a website. We would love to visit you and see your faces, walk among your people, but time, money and effort would be better served by observing these Words from the Scriptures:
We trust you to be an extension of our Faith. It is imperative that we be willing to find our place within the Body of Believers. |
