Evidently, this comes up as an issue when ever food is served. How ill mannered I would be to go to a dinner and say, "I don't like liver"; "I don t like cake," "I don't like what you serve." Have you ever seen people like that? Good manners dictates that they need to just quietly choose foods they like and move on. Our dietary preference is simply our preference. There is a church that makes their eating habits a part of their doctrine. It might save their body from some impurities but eating or drinking certainly does not earn them a special place in heaven.


You are actually very wrong. The gospel of peace is the greatest example of what diet people should follow. And the flesh of slaughtered meat in his body will become his own grave. For verily I say to you: The one who kills, kills himself, and the one who eats of the meat of slaughtered animals eats from the body of death. (p. 41) The Gospel of Peace

Also speaking on saying "I do not like what you serve" do you think Jesus would say this? I know he would because he would teach the people the way of God. He would not eat whatever he was being served just to please them, he much rather have them on the path to God than worry about offending them. It would be like you being served a mutilated human body and saying "i dont like what i am being served" You obviously would not eat it because it goes against your moral beliefs same reason that Jesus would not eat meat because it goes against God.

Those who don't eat meat sacrifice a selfish choice (meat eating) for the better good of the WORLD (since meat eating causes mass environmental destruction, disease, world hunger, pain, death, etc) so i would hope that those people would recieve a special place in heaven. It would not seem fair for the selfish to reside with them.

Hello again.  If what you advocate is true,  those people that experienced the notable miracle of Jesus when he fed the multitude meat were doomed.

The doom you speak of has some merit.  If we eat meat that has been pumped full of hormones, antibiotics, preventive vaccinations; then, we most certainly will take these things into our bodies.  However, this has nothing to do with being "born again" into the Kingdom of God.  Jesus had to address those that wanted to use dietary laws as a way of salvation and by-pass his Gift of Eternal life. He addressed Peter:

1. Acts 10:
   11 And saw heaven opened, and a certain vessel descending upon him, as it had been a great sheet knit at the four corners, and let down to the earth:
   12 Wherein were all manner of fourfooted beasts of the earth, and wild beasts, and creeping things, and fowls of the air.
   13 And there came a voice to him, Rise, Peter; kill, and eat.
   14 But Peter said, Not so, Lord; for I have never eaten any thing that is common or unclean.
   15 And the voice spake unto him again the second time, What God hath cleansed, that call not thou common.
   16 This was done thrice: and the vessel was received up again into heaven.
   
   Acts 11:9
   But the voice answered me again from heaven, What God hath cleansed, that call not thou common.

It is my prayer that you will accept the Gift of Salvation from the Lord Jesus Christ and not feel that one can "eat their way to heaven" by observing dietary laws.  Jesus made his plan of salvation very plain.

Acts 4:12
Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.

Hello again.  I am as always, awed by the magnitude of your call.  As you walk among such darkness of spirit and soul, it must sometimes seems endless. The HIV virus is such a small thing yet it has becomes a giant epidemic in our world.  If only we could get a glimpse of how small the Seed of Faith is; yet, Jesus claims that it will come into a person and push out all the other "bad seeds."  My prayer is that He will allow us to share such a Gift of Salvation in such a way that it will immediately lodge into the hearts of all that believe.  The time for salvation in your land, as well as all others, is now.  We need help that can only come from God.  We know that He can deliver through His Son Jesus and the leadership of the Holy Ghost.  May our delivery of the Word become precise and to the point so that we do not waste precious time. Expect miracles!!!

I John 4:4
Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.

We need to remember that Jesus did not die for the deserving people of the world, but for the sinners that needed to be "washed as white as snow."  We need to  remind the Lord of the Harvest that there are multitudes of people that need to be "washed clean" by His Almighty Hand.

Have you ever considered why the Jews seemingly have power over such powerful governments?  I submit that it is because  rulers in these world powers believe/believed that God has a purpose with Abraham's seed.  Consider King Herod and Governor Pilate in the New Testament.  These men (as well as Pilate's wife--cf. Matthew 27:11-26) were aware that God was somehow dealing with Israel at the time.  True, Pilate tried to put the blame for our Lord's crucifixion on the Jews, but he was a ruler for Rome and because he was afraid that there might be an uprising if he refused the Jew's wish to crucify their Messiah, he ordered His crucifixion.  Consequently, because it was done at his command, Pilate had a part in the blame.

However, I'm afraid that you don't have all of the facts right concerning our Lord's crucifixion.  You say that the Jew's used the Romans to murder Jesus.  True, that was their intention; but the Romans did not murder Jesus for the Bible says:

John 10:14-18
I am the good shepherd, and know my sheep, and am known of mine.
As the Father knoweth me, even so know I the Father: and I lay down my life for the sheep.
And other sheep I have, which are not of this fold: them also I must bring, and they shall hear my voice; and there shall be one fold, and one shepherd.
Therefore doth my Father love me, because I lay down my life, that I might take it again.
No man taketh it from me, but I lay it down of myself. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again. This commandment have I received of my Father.

Matthew 27:42-54
He saved others; himself he cannot save. If he be the King of Israel, let him now come down from the cross, and we will believe him.
He trusted in God; let him deliver him now, if he will have him: for he said, I am the Son of God.
The thieves also, which were crucified with him, cast the same in his teeth.

Also, if you'll think on America's presidents; to date, at least, they have acknowledged that the Bible is the Word of God–even using the God of the Bible as part of their campaign rhetoric.  They have done this, at least in part, because they understand that the majority of the Americans they are appealing to for votes believe the Bible to be the Word of God–thereby believing Genesis 12:1-3:

Now the LORD had said unto Abram (Abraham), Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy father's house, unto a land that I will shew thee:
And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing:
And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.

It is because the majority of Americans have believed God's promise to Abraham concerning the nation comprised of his descendants that America has tried to be a blessing to the Jews.

Nor would I be free to challenge any teaching that directly opposes the Word of God–such as Zechariah 8:17:

And let none of you imagine evil in your hearts against his neighbour; and love no false oath: for all these are things that I hate, saith the LORD.

I can't help but wonder, had I been in such a culture, how would God have been able to convict me of my sins and to point me to the Cross of Calvary and the sacrificial death of His Only Begotten Son?  On this side of the Cross, I cannot imagine life without experiencing the glorious "re-birth" and having the Holy Spirit take residence in my mortal body–filling me with "joy unspeakable and full of glory" and His "peace that passeth understanding."  Indeed, it is my prayer that I will not ever take for granted the "living hope" that Christ Jesus has given me; nor ever forget that I am "indebted" to those who have not heard of the blessings that are mine in Christ.  God forbid that I fail to share my faith and the Word that He has given me!  In fact, let me share a couple of passages of that precious Word right now.

John 3:3-7
Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.
Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother's womb, and be born?
Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.
That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.
Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.

I Corinthian 6:19
What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?

I Peter 1:8
Whom having not seen, ye love; in whom, though now ye see him not, yet believing, ye rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory:

Let your moderation be known unto all men. The Lord is at hand.

If you are a visitor and you have been born in such a restrictive nation/culture as we've mentioned, let me challenge you to ignore what I've said, but to act on the Scriptures I've quoted and reach out to your Creator–not as a Hindu, as a follower of Confucius, or as a Muslim, etc., but as man or woman created in God's image who wants to know the TRUTH!   I promise you, He has shown me the TRUTH–as He has countless others throughout the ages–and He will do it for you, as well, for He has said that He is no respecter of persons!!!
