Can you show me that from the Scriptures? That is why we did the web site, doweknow, so that informed people could write us and gives us "clues". I guess we are "Clueless in Florida". Please share any enlightenment you have received from the Lord with us. The Bible does command this of us:

Hebrews 3:13 But exhort one another daily, while it is called To day; lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin.

Hebrews 10:25 Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.

Re: Interpreting the Bible

Dear friend while surfing the web as one does I came across your web-site. Very interesting especially the section about bible numerics. It would appear that like myself you have noticed that bible numbers have deeper meanings than most so-called scholars and theologians would have us believe. It seems unlikely Peter sat and counted the 153 fish. How do they know Christ was 200 cubits from the boat? Why the feeding of the 5000 with 5 loaves and 12baskets Why the feeding of the 4000 with 7 loaves and 7 baskets? In 2/Samuel 24:24 is stated that David bought the threshing floor from Araunah for 50 shekels of silver, but in 1/Chron. 21:25.for 600 shekels is this an error? 50 relates to the 1/10 manna over 50 days in the desert so 50 and 600 are linked somehow by the bible. 50 tenths corresponds to the 5 barley loaves in feeding of 5000-why? because through the bible we find each basket contained 50 fragments X 12 baskets = 600 fragments also feeding of 4000 each basket contained 50 fragments X 7 baskets = 350 fragments. 600 + 350 = 950 the age of Noah during and after the flood. flood of what, water? or flood of all the knowledge of God.

This is but one connection linking Old Testament with New but the list is endless. Was Adam the first man on earth or the first spiritual seed planted in the red virgin soil of a carnal mans heart hence "walking" all the way to Jesus through the bible, Genesis to Revelation, to become the perfect spiritual man with God Alpha and Omega. The numbers are not coincidences neither are names. The dimensions of the Ark, the Tabernacle, Solomon's Temple, the ages of people all mean something but what?

KJV 1 Corinthians 2:14 But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.

What this means is that only through God can ones eyes be opened so that scripture can be made into sense instead of "babble" because much of scripture to a sensible person doesn't add up. A clue.

KJV Genesis 14:8 And there went out the king of Sodom, and the king of Gomorrah, and the king of Admah, and the king of Zeboiim, and the king of Bela (the same is Zoar;) and they joined battle with them in the vale of Siddim; 14:9 With Chedorlaomer the king of Elam, and with Tidal king of nations, and Amraphel king of Shinar, and Arioch king of Ellasar; four kings with five.

There are five pillars to the entrance of the Holy place then four to the Holy of Holies of the Tabernacle. There are five books of Moses then four Gospels. Coincidence? I think not. Moses represents the Law. But Paul testifies the Law kills meaning a person gets nowhere merely reading scripture and doing what is written. Christ says he came to fulfill Moses and the Prophets meaning you need the law but only with the Prophets the oral explanation of the law which lead to Christ. Moses and the Prophets 2/3 of the Tabernacle and Christ the remaining third, the Holy of Holies.

Some questions for you

1) Why was the second sign of Jesus - the raising of the noble man's son, and why on
> the seventh hour? John 4:46-54. There is a cryptic and relevance why.

2) Why was it the tenth hour when Andrew and Simon Peter met Jesus? John 1:40.

3) Why was the woman with an issue of blood, suffering for twelve years, why twelve? And why did she touch the back of Jesus' garment? Matthew 5:20.

4) Why was Jairus' (which mean 'whom God enlightens') daughter 12 years old, when Jesus raised her from the dead? Why 12 years old indeed? Mark 5:21-42.

5) Why was Jesus 12 years old when he went to Jerusalem and into the temple? Why was he found after
> three days, was he actually 12 and what does it represent? Luke 2:41-46.

6) Why did Christ spit on the ground and made clay (mud) out of the spittle to anoint the blind man's eyes so he could see; what does it actually signify? John 9:6-7.

7) Why did Jesus take with him these three specific disciples most of the times, which were Simon-Peter, John and James? Luke 9:28.

8) Why did seven disciples get onboard a boat, with Simon-Peter ahead of the boat, and when he aborted he left six disciples with Thomas, the so-called didymus, which mean 'twin brother' ahead of the boat, why those seven specific disciples, which two of them were not named actually? John 21:1-25. By the way the sons of Zebedee, were John and James.

9) Why didn't Peter recognise the Lord, but John did; and why was Peter naked?

10) Why, did Jesus tell them to cast their net to the right hand side of the boat or ship, what does it in reality mean, because they did cast their net to the left and they caught nothing?

I have come across a web-site, which gives an explanation of the numbers, and hidden meanings. If you are truly interested in the meanings of these numbers please visit this site and persevere with the heavy reading and let me know your opinion.

Hello Antonis:

I found your E mail very interesting. For the most part, I find your questions to be very enlightening and they should make a thoughtful person do some thinking. If you don't mind, I'll use some of them in my teachings.

I noticed that you referred to David's purchase from Araunah ( also referred to as Ornan the Jebusite) pointing out that two different sums of money are mentioned. Let's look at the Scriptures.

2 Samuel 24:
21 And Araunah said, Wherefore is my lord the king come to his servant? And David said, To buy the threshingfloor of thee, to build an altar unto the LORD, that the plague may be stayed from the people.
22 And Araunah said unto David, Let my lord the king take and offer up what seemeth good unto him: behold, here be oxen for burnt sacrifice, and threshing instruments and other instruments of the oxen for wood.
23 All these things did Araunah, as a king, give unto the king. And Araunah said unto the king, The LORD thy God accept thee.
24 And the king said unto Araunah, Nay; but I will surely buy it of thee at a price: neither will I offer burnt offerings unto the LORD my God of that which doth cost me nothing. So David bought the threshingfloor and the oxen for fifty shekels of silver.

1 Chronicles 21:
21 And as David came to Ornan, Ornan looked and saw David, and went out of the threshingfloor, and bowed himself to David with his face to the ground.
22 Then David said to Ornan, Grant me the place of this threshingfloor, that I may build an altar therein unto the LORD:
thou shalt grant it me for the full price: that the plague may be stayed from the people.
23 And Ornan said unto David, Take it to thee, and let my lord the king do that which is good in his eyes: lo, I give thee the oxen also for burnt offerings, and the threshing instruments for wood, and the wheat for the meat offering; I give it all.
24 And king David said to Ornan, Nay; but I will verily buy it for the full price: for I will not take that which is thine for the LORD, nor offer burnt offerings without cost.
25 So David gave to Ornan for the place six hundred shekels of gold by weight.

If you will look carefully you will see that David paid fifty shekels of silver for the threshingfloor while he paid six hundred shekels of gold for the place or residence where the threshingfloor was located. (See Strong's Exhaustive Concordance or the footnotes of the Scofield Study Bible.) Nevertheless, we must wonder why God wanted us to know the exact amount of money that changed hands.

I also notice that you love to speculate. This can be good. God made us to wonder, and I believe that this is part of our make up that helps us find the salvation that is in Christ Jesus. However, maybe a word of caution is in order. If we're not careful, we may start seeing mysticisms behind everything written in the Bible--taking nothing at face value. For example, to me, when the Bible says that Adam was the first man--that settles it. Although there are many mysteries in the Bible, a great portion of the Bible is to be taken verbatim. Here's where the Scriptures come to bear: i.e., understanding of the Word of God is only possible by His Holy Spirit. But also, here's where much confusion enters into the Church. Many quote the Scripture that I just referred to as their authority for what they preach as though they have received direct from God--yet their teaching contradict one another. I guess it all comes back to the fact that every man will stand before God by himself on his own laurels. He'll not be able to place blame on another or take another's glory. So, it would seem that each of us should study the Bible for ourselves; and to me it makes sense to put the Bible before the teachings of man--using the teachings of another only when led by the Spirit.

As to the site, I personally get bored with all of the numerics of the Scriptures if I dwell on them too long. I enjoy reading the Bible mostly for the parts that are "Spirit and life." However, the numbering system is there and to understand the Scriptures one needs to at least have a basic understanding of them.

By the way, in what part of the UK do you live? I can't decipher where you are from by your name.

The Angelic Intervention

At some point in the future there is coming to the television screens of this world's people, great supernatural events never seen on this earth. You are invited to my website for all the details Today's headlines concerning the Middle East, especially Jerusalem, point to the climax of world history as we know it. Jesus Christ is about to reclaim the government of the nations.
Those who resist His return, will be rejected and destroyed. This sounds rather harsh, but keep in mind that for two thousand years Jesus has offered His love and forgiveness to all men.
There is coming a time of justice and judgment for those who reject His grace. It is near!
Read very slowly and carefully the inspired scriptures in Revelation 14: 6-10;
(6)"And I saw another angel fly in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach unto them that dwell on the earth, and to every nation, and kindred, and tongue, and people, (7) Saying with a loud voice, Fear God, and give glory to him; for the hour of his judgment is come; and worship him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters. (8) And there followed another angel, saying Babylon is fallen, is fallen, that great city, because she made all nations drink of the wine of the wrath of her fornication. (9) And the third angel followed them saying with a loud voice, If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead, or in his hand, (10) The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb;"

Among many upcoming supernatural events, some would today say science fiction, will be the appearance of three angels who will manifest themselves for all men to see, no doubt on satellite television also. They will hover over the cities of all nations and proclaim the message of God to a lost world. They will cry with a loud voice and call people to repentance and faith in the soon to return Jesus Christ; they will point out to everyone who great Babylon (America) is; and warn all against taking the mark of the beast.(666)

Several years ago, Hollywood produced the sci-fi movie "Independence Day" which chronicled the events surrounding an alien invasion to take over the government of the earth. It very cleverly showed how the entire world united behind the American President, to successfully repel the invasion from outer space.

Hollywood, which is a major spokesman for satanic deception, obviously doesn't understand its role in endtime events and prophecies. Satan knows of the above prophecies of Revelation 14 and is preparing his version and ultimate counterfeit. He knows about God's angels, he even knows them personally and by name. They all used to work for him before he rebelled and was thrown out of Heaven. Those angels who followed Satan in his rebellion, will also in the future manifest themselves publicly, even before the television cameras.

When the rapture takes place and Gods' true church is removed supernaturally from this earth, Satan will move in with his "great lie" to explain the sudden world wide disappearance of people. Part of the lie will be that UFOs came and took away all the "bad guys" and then the new agers will begin their celebration. But, to the unsaved Christians left behind, one of Satans' fallen angels will appear as "Mary", the Queen of Heaven. This fallen angel will proclaim that Jesus indeed came and removed all those Christians who were divisive and misread the prophecies of how God's kingdom would be established on the earth. "Mary" will call the religious world to unite behind the American President and the Pope to establish God's
kingdom.

Today the Pope is heralded by the media, another satanic tool, as the world's number one Christian. When the rapture happens, the President and the Pope, who have not been removed by Jesus, will obviously not repent and admit that Jesus took the "good guys" and that they were unsaved. So "Mary's" message will be just what the doctor ordered. Together, they will fulfill the roles of the Beast and False Prophet of the book of Revelation. Their end is described in Revelation 19:20 as the first two inhabitants of the Lake of Fire.

With all these supernatural events on the radar screen, about to take place, beginning with the rapture, more and more people will become believers that truly "someone is out there." So, the final end game question remains: Will people believe in the returning Christ from Heaven or accept the emotional patriotic call to take the mark of the antichrist? Sincerely, Jack.

DON WROTE:

As I've said, I believe that Jack's web site serves a purpose in that it is a part of the interest in end-time events that cropped up with the year 2,000. However, his site is also a part of the confusion accompanying this interest.

In way of explanation let's go back to the time of our Lord's visit to His planet. Just before He was born in a manger, there was a similar "stir" about a visit from Israel's Messiah. John the Baptist was heralding His appearance, and the people of Israel asked him was He the Christ.

John 1:

19 And this is the record of John, when the Jews sent priests and Levites from Jerusalem to ask him, Who art thou?
20 And he confessed, and denied not; but confessed, I am not the Christ.
21 And they asked him, What then? Art thou Elias? And he saith, I am not. Art thou that prophet? And he answered, No.
22 Then said they unto him, Who art thou? that we may give an answer to them that sent us. What sayest thou of thyself?
23 He said, I am the voice of one crying in the wilderness, Make straight the way of the Lord, as said the prophet Esaias.
24 And they which were sent were of the Pharisees.

Not only was Jesus being expected in Israel, but the wise men of the east were looking for his appearance, as was the ungodly King Herod. Part of the confusion around our Lord's Visitation was the fact that the general expectations of the Israelites were not in sync with the purposes of God. Most Jews expected their Messiah to come as a strong leader to set up a kingdom for them during their life time. Even his most devout followers had trouble understanding that He had come to establish the spiritual Kingdom of God—and that His earthly kingdom was for a future date. Much of this confusion came about because they were not aware of the "peaks of prophecy." That is, they were ignorant of the Kingdom Age to come that was so beautifully prophesied by their prophet Isaiah and others, nor were they aware of the valley between the two peaks, which in retrospect, we know to be the Grace Age in which we now live. They could not see beyond their own time and needs; consequently, they tried to make Christ fill both the prophecies of the suffering Messiah, led like a lamb to slaughter, and the returning King who will rule the world with a rod of iron.

We have a similar situation today. The church world is nervously wondering about the prophesied return of the One which justifies their existence. The political leaders are aware of the belief of the religious world, often finding themselves caught up in the hullabaloo. Even Hollywood is aware that the earth is expecting another visit from Israel's Messiah, the Son of God; but they, too, have a confused view, the religious world being their source of information. As it was at the time of our Lord's Visitation (birth-ministry), we again see confusion because the leaders in the church are trying to make all of the remaining prophecies for man come to pass at the end of our age. They fail to comprehend that at the end of the Kingdom Age, there will be another time of tribulation and judgment very similar to the one to take place at the end of our age, yet with some necessary differences. Add to this the sci-fi coloring of Hollywood and you come up with the "end-time words" that are flying around. Of course, the web being the tool of communication that it is, many of these "end-time words" have found their way into a multitude of web sites.

As I read Jack's WRAP, it seems to me that it would make a good script for a Hollywood movie. It has some things that sound legitimate, but one has to wonder where in the world most of his comments come from. I don't see them as coming from the Bible.

B'Ann Wrote,

WE CERTAINLY ARE TO BE MINDFUL THAT THE BIBLE DOES TEACH ABOUT AN END-TIME EVENT, AN EVENT THAT WILL OCCUR WHEN GOD IS TIRED OF MANKIND IGNORING HIS SON AND TRAMPLING ON THE BLOOD OF THE SAINTS THAT HAVE GONE BEFORE. HOWEVER, WORRYING ABOUT THIS TIME WAS NOT WHAT GOD COMMANDED US TO DO!!! WE WERE COMMANDED TO: "…Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature" (Mark 16:15).

IF WE ARE NOT DOING THIS GREAT COMMISSION, FERVENTLY, THEN I SINCERELY DOUBT THAT GOD IS GOING TO TRUST US WITH ANY GREAT REVELATIONS.

FURTHERMORE, WHEN THE DISCIPLE CAME TO JESUS WITH QUESTIONS ABOUT THIS PARTICULAR EVENT ON GOD'S TIMELINE, JESUS GAVE THIS REPLY:

("But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only" Matthew 24:36. "Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come" Matthew 24:42.) THE WATCH THAT WE ARE TO KEEP DURING THIS GRACE AGE IS THE GREAT COMMISSION. WHY ARE WE SO CONCEITED TO THINK THAT GOD WILL REVEAL THIS PARTICULAR MOMENT IN TIME TO US, WHEN JESUS DID NOT EVEN KNOW.

JESUS LAST WORDS ON EARTH, THE BOTTOM LINE IF YOU PLEASE, WAS THE GREAT COMMISSION. THIS IS THE MAIN REASON WE HAVE PUT UP OUR WEB SITE. PEOPLE WERE CRYING, "The end is coming," AND VERY FEW WERE {ARE} CONCERNED WITH THE GREAT COMMISSION. FOR THE PAST FEW DECADES, MOST HAVE BEEN FOLLOWING THE "PROSPERITY" MESSAGE. IF PEOPLE REALLY BELIEVED THAT IT WAS ALL GOING TO END, THEN WE WOULD NOT HAVE SEEN THEM RUSH, RUSH, RUSHING TO GET MATERIAL GAIN. THEIR HEARTS WOULD HAVE BEEN BROKEN FOR THOSE THAT WERE "LOST" AND THEY WOULD HAVE WITNESSED, WITNESSED, WITNESSED SO OTHERS WOULD NOT GO THROUGH THE TIME OF WRATH TO COME.

IF THE "PROSPERITY" MESSAGE WAS A SOVEREIGN MOVE OF GOD, THEN WE WOULD HAVE SEEN A SOVEREIGN MOVE OF THE SPIRIT ON EARTH. IF THERE WERE THIS MIGHTY MOVE OF GOD, THEN AS THE CHRISTIAN MOVEMENT CLIMBED UP LIKE A TOWER AND THE WORLDLY MOVEMENT CLIMBED UP LIKE A TOWER, AND EACH GREW MORE POWERFUL, THEY COULD NOT HAVE CO-EXISTED PEACEFULLY. BUT WE SAW THE MEGA MINISTRIES CLIMB ALONG SIDE THE SINS OF THE WORLD. WE SAW SOME MEGA-MINISTRIES TOPPLE BECAUSE THEY WERE FOUNDED UPON THE "PROSPERITY" MESSAGE. THEY SEEMED TO HAVE VERY LITTLE IMPACT UPON THE SINS/PERVERSION THAT WERE RISING INTO THE U. S. IN FACT, WE SAW OUR U.S. CHURCHES EMBRACING LIFESTYLES THAT HERETOFORE HAD BEEN CONSIDERED UNDESIRABLE AND FORBIDDEN BY SCRIPTURE. AS A RESULT, SIN DID A VERY RAPID CLIMB ON THE UPWARD SPIRAL. WE DID NOT SHOW FORTH THE CHRISTIAN MESSAGE OF LOVE, WE BROUGHT TO THE WORLD A MESSAGE OF "COLORED HAIR," "COSMETIC /CHARISMATIC CHARM," "CANNED MESSAGES / MUSIC" AND "STARDOM." SORRY, GOD SAID TO GO PLOW. THERE CAN BE NO "COUCH POTATOES". IT STILL IS AND ALWAYS WILL BE, FACE-TO-FACE, PERSONAL WITNESSING! ("Say not ye, There are yet four months, and [then] cometh harvest? behold, I say unto you, Lift up your eyes, and look on the fields; for they are white already to harvest" John 4:35. "And Jesus said unto him, No man, having put his hand to the plough, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God" Luke 9:62.).

NOT ALL MINISTRIES "CRASHED AND BURNED", HOWEVER. THOSE THAT SURVIVED WENT BACK TO THEIR FIRST LOVE, I.E. THE GREAT COMMISSION. OTHERS WENT ON TO APPEAR ON TALK SHOWS, (ONE WAS ON A "CROSS-DRESSERS" PROGRAM). MEANWHILE, THE SPIRAL OF SIN THAT HAD GROWN HIGHER AND HIGHER, REMAINS UNCHALLENGED AND SEEMINGLY UNSTOPPABLE ON THE WORLD SCENE.

SO, WE NEED TO LOOK AT THE REAL REASON WE ARE PERMITTED THE PRIVILEGE OF BEING BORN AGAIN AND CALLED AN "HEIR OF GOD THROUGH CHRIST JESUS." THIS WAS SO THAT WE COULD SHARE THE "GOOD NEWS" WITH THE REST OF THE WORLD, I.E., THE GREAT COMMISSION. GOD WILL KNOW WHEN IT IS TIME TO CLEAN HOUSE, NOT US!!! THANKS FOR WRAPPING!!!

I WAS SO BLESSED TO FIND THIS SITE. I WAS READING IT AND I STOOD WITH MY
MOUTH OPENED IN AMAZEMENT. I ALWAYS WANTED TO UNDERSTAND THE BOOK OF DANIEL, BUT COULDN'T FIND ANYONE TO EXPLAIN IT TO ME. IT HAS BECOME CLEAR HOW THE BOOK OF REVELATION COMES INTO PLAY WITH THE BOOK OF DANIEL. I'M STILL A LITTLE CONFUSED ABOUT THE WEEKS (70 WEEKS) BUT I THINK WITH PRAYER AND CONTINUING READING YOUR SITE AGAIN I WILL UNDERSTAND IT. IF THERE IS SOMETHING ELSE I CAN READ TO CLEAR IT UP A LITTLE MORE FOR ME I WOULD GREATLY APPRECIATE IT.

GOD BLESS YOU AND CONTINUE THE GREAT WORK YOU ARE DOING FOR THE

B'Ann Wrote:

Please understand that we wrote these with the idea in mind that WEDONOTKNOW everything that is in the Bible. We were especially concerned at the turn of the millennium when so many people were expecting a catastrophic event from God due to "date setting" by self-appointed experts. Consequently, we've asked people to consider that if the Jewish calendar were used for dating any of God's events, for example, then it would not coincide with the calendar used in the U.S. We then submitted that God does not have to honor a Jewish calendar or any other calendar, that He has His own numbering system WHICH HAS NO ERRORS, and that His Word is dated with His own calendar. With various problems like this in mind, we put up our web to challenge people to look further for the truth.

I have to admit that the 70 weeks just crosses my eyes when I read it. I guess the following Scripture might apply here.

I Corinthians 1:27
But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty;

I Corinthians 2:
9 But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into
the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.
10 But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God.
11 For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God.

This passage can only be understood by revelation from the Holy Spirit. Do we have all the revelation? Certainly not!!! But we do have the common sense to know that all that can be gleaned from the Bible has not been accomplished. It fact, we have gotten lazier and lazier in Bible study these last few decades. Oh, yes, we have read "cutsey" books by many writers that "lull us to sleep" with easy reading and anecdotes. Often these come from people's personal experiences; which may be genuine, but doesn't wisdom dictate that to study the WORD OF GOD, shouldn't we go first to the Bible. There we read where Paul had a personal experience on the Road to Damascus, but we find him having to go "aside" to study before he had anything to say that would profoundly change the Christian world.

Galatians 1:
6 I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel:
7 Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ.
8 But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.
9 As we said before, so say I now again, if any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed.
10 For do I now persuade men, or God? or do I seek to please men? for if I yet pleased men, I should not be the servant of Christ.
11 But I certify you, brethren, that the gospel which was preached of me is not after man.
12 For I neither received it of man, neither was I taught it, but by the revelation of Jesus Christ.
13 For ye have heard of my conversation in time past in the Jews' religion, how that beyond measure I persecuted the church of God, and wasted it:
14 And profited in the Jews' religion above many my equals in mine own nation, being more exceedingly zealous of the traditions of my fathers.
15 But when it pleased God, who separated me from my mother's womb, and called me by his grace,
16 To reveal his Son in me, that I might preach him among the heathen; immediately I conferred not with flesh and blood:
17 Neither went I up to Jerusalem to them which were apostles before me; but I went into Arabia, and returned again unto Damascus.
18 Then after three years I went up to Jerusalem to see Peter, and abode with him fifteen days.

Remember, God never commanded us to "study another man's books to show ourselves approved." We can most certainly read them as a personal witness, from them to us, and they can complement our Bible study. But it is the writings of the Bible that we are commanded to study to so that we can show ourselves approved unto God.

2 Timothy 2:
15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
16 But shun profane and vain babblings: for they will increase unto more ungodliness.

Only the Bible can truthfully say of itself that it is without error, that it is settled in heaven, and that all written therein shall surely come to pass. This is because those who wrote it were not trying to impress people with their writings—nor were they trying to make money. They were totally consecrated to God so that He was able to use them to record His Words. Sometimes they wrote with understanding, and sometimes, as with prophecy, they wrote without understanding, simply recording what they were told.

Am I slamming all books written about the Scriptures? No, but when we only read books written in the last few decades, we are letting another person be our "priest"—if you please—when we do not study the Holy Scriptures for ourselves. But it should not be this way; for the Bible says that we already have a High Priest: i.e., Jesus.

Hebrews 4:
14 Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession.
15 For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin.
16 Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.

Again, why should we study the Bible in preference to the recent writings of man? Because the Bible has stood the test of time, whereas the writings during the last few decades may or may not hold up as being factual. For instance, take the prosperity message that became immensely popular during the seventies. It has not stood the test of time because it left out a Biblical prerequisite to Biblical "prosperity."

Matthew 6:33
But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

The people that sought His kingdom first, have gotten and still have their "prosperity." Those that tried to use the principle of tithing and giving to attain "prosperity" did not acquire true riches, but frustration. Oh, some who bought into this message may have used their God given talents to gain earthly riches; but this they could have done without trying to obligate God. God is not something one can "use" to gain worldly comfort. He is someone that has to be put first and "followed" to gain the true wealth which not only includes our every day needs but the peace of God that passeth understanding, as well. Perhaps their prosperity was not monetary wealth at all, but love, joy, peace, long-suffering, goodness, meekness and faith. Perhaps it was a mental, emotional or physical healing. One cannot function if they are ill.

Let me sum up with the words of the Apostle John:

I John 2
26 These things have I written unto you concerning them that seduce you.
27 But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him.
28 And now, little children, abide in him; that, when he shall appear, we may have confidence, and not be ashamed before him at his coming.

Again, we are not saying that no one should read any book but the Bible; for God calls men and women to teach His Word and many who have the gift of teaching are led to put their teachings in books. We want people to read our DOWEKNOW to spur them on to further searching of the vast, undiscovered truths of the Bible. We are saying that the Bible must come first and that all other writings must pass the test of agreeing with the Scriptures and of being anointed by the Holy Spirit. We have done all we can to be sure that our teachings agree with the Scriptures; and from your WRAP and many others we feel that the Holy Spirit is drawing men and women to our site and anointing its teachings. For this we thank Him and Praise Him.

Thank you for taking time to WRAP with us. Your words have been encouraging.

DON WROTE:
