JOAN WROTE: Question-Comment: I'm sure some other Christian has already brought this to your attention, but just in case, the first verse says," The REVELATION of Jesus Christ....", not REVELATIONS. With Love, Joan DON WROTE: Hello Joan: Thanks so much for your attentiveness. Our site is beginning to shape up and much of the credit goes to you who care enough to help us out. We've made the changes. If you see any other problems, let us know. Don and B'Ann Love |
_______ WROTE: Question-Comment: what are the signs of the coming of christ. what will happen in the end. DON WROTE: Hello _________, From your questions, it sounds as though you are a first-time visitor to our web site. The primary reason for our site is to put upon the web our books THE CLOCK OF THE AGES and MARK THEM as well as our STUDY OF REVELATION for the Church to have as a resource. If you will go to those sources, you will find the answers to your questions and much more. Also, we have discussed these on our WRAPS which should give you more insight. Thanks for WRAPPING. JAYNE WROTE: Question-Comment: I was recently visited by two Jehovah's Witnesses, who told me I was wrong to believe in the Trinity, because nowhere in the bible does it actually mention the Trinity, also they said that the power of the holy spirit was an energy on earth that has always been here, otherwise how could Samson have attained his strength. In my own thoughts I believe in the Trinity as Jesus mentions that he is one with the Father, he also says that the holy spirit cannot come until he has gone back to the Father, am I right? Also, I do have great faith, but one thing bothers me. I work in a department of science, and I wondered how I can equate the theory of evolution with the theory of the bible, i.e.; that God put Adam and Eve on the earth? Thanks for your time. Jayne DON & B'ANN WROTE: Dear Jayne: Years back we heard someone give forth with a word of wisdom. He said that he had heard that those who work with the federal agency that deals with counterfeiting are not taught all about the various works of counterfeitersbecause there are too many. Instead, they are taught all there is to know about the real bills so that they can instantly recognize the fake. He applied the analogy to those who teach the Bible. It sounds as though you have been studying the "real McCoy." Continue to do so and you will do well. Go to the Bible helps on our sight and type in the word "one." Jesus declared that They were all One. The Church has always labeled it the Trinity which I think is an apt word. As to the theory of evolution, let us reason together. To date, God has not revealed his "timeline/numbering system" in its entirety. We know He would sometimes reveal fairly accurate clues because, for example, the nation of Israel was expecting the birth of the Messiah in and around the time He was actually born. Jesus told his disciples when they asked about the end of time that God had not let Him know when the "end" would be. If this be so for the Son of God, surely these things would be too much for a mere human to carry; so, God carefully chose what time spans to reveal and which to hide. I do not know what numerical base God uses. We use the base ten for counting, base twelve for measuring dozens and feet, base sixteen for measuring pounds, etc. The theory of evolution took a base number for the carbon dating tests. They could have just as easily chosen base 10,000, 1,000,000 or 10,000,000. This use of a base gives them a supposed timeline for the dinosaurs, ice age, Neanderthal man, etc. God does not necessarily have one standard base, just as we do not in our measuring system. Get the point. (Also, even if He does have a standard base that He now uses, who is to say that He didn't have a different base before the flood when men lived much longer lives than they do now.) How wonderful it would be if these scientists could apply themselves to finding the actual timelines of the scriptures and give a more accurate portrayal of historical time. Don't fret about seeming inconsistencies. They are something we cannot do anything about, anyway. As we have stated over and over in the WRAPS, these are not in our circle of control. What is in our circle of control is "Go ye into all the world...." This is our responsibility as we play out our own timelines. SELAH! Yours in Christ, Don |
STEPHEN WROTE: Mr. Love, Recently I wrote to you concerning bible prophecy. My wife (Debra) use the same address until now in which I am sending you these questions. Thank you so very much for your inspirational answers to my questions I do appreciate you and your ministry. Praise God for men who God works through. My other questions are: 1. In the book of Revelation, it talks about the seven churches in Asia Minor. Do you think that these churches are attitudes of the many churches of the past and today? 2. Do you believe that the verse in Revelation 3:10, is a strong argument for pre-tribulation rapture? 3. Where do you think the Antichrist will come from as a gentile or a Jew? How do you THINK that the Jews will come to trust this "beast"? Thank you for your wonderful insight and Godly opinion. I realize that no one knows the real answer, but I do believe that God wrote Bible prophecy for us to study and share His word.
DON WROTE: First, let me apologize to you and to all who have been attempting to WRAP with us the past few weeks/months. We have been in the process of moving and updating our ministry. It seems I have been putting in three days work for each day and still I have much to do. But to your questions: your question re: the seven churches in Asia Minor is timely for we have just began putting up our study of Revelation. You'll find our comments on the seven churches of Revelation by clicking on the link on our home page and going to that study. As to Rev. 3:10, it would be nice if the Church didn't have to go through the Tribulation Period; but as I read the Scriptures, that will not be the case. There is confusion in be Body of Christ over this verse because of an incomplete understanding of the Tribulation Period. Most teachings to date confuse this period in time with the 1st ½ of Daniel's 70th Week. For more on this, go to the introduction of our book the CLOCK OF THE AGES. Regarding your third question concerning the antichrist/beast, as a babe-in-Christ I often heard the argument that this fellow(s) (apparently there will be a "beast" at the end of our age as well as one at the end of the Kingdom Age) would have to be either Jewish or at least part Jew before the Jews would have any dealings with him/them. (A thorough study of the "beast" and the "antichrist" might prove to be very interesting to some of you. To begin such a study you might go to our Bible Study Tools and search for antichrist/beast. Be sure to check out the comments in all of the study aids--i.e., Vines, Naves, etc.) For our fellow cybernauts, Stephen's question has to do with the passage found in Daniel 9:25-27 which deals with Daniel's 70 Weeks, especially the 70th week. Again, because this understanding has to do with Daniel's 70 Weeks, there is room for confusion because of the problem's in the Church of interpreting those 70 weeks. However, logic does dictate that if the one making this pact with Israel is attempting to counterfeit Israel's Messiah, then he should probably be of the Hebrew lineagebut logic doesn't always apply in the appointed times of spiritual change and upheaval. As I've said in our book the CLOCK OF THE AGES, most of this "understanding" in the church comes from the footnotes of the Scofield Bible. And it is my view that although Scofield's notes on grace are excellent, his views on prophecy were incomplete and premature simply because it was not yet time for the understanding he sought to be released in the Body. I will interject a comment of my own. If the Jews did not recognize their own Messiah Jesus the Christ, but choose Barabbas in His stead (Matthew 27:20), how discerning might we expect them to be about the beast? Thanks for WRAPPING again with us. Don |
